It's been a while, I know. Between the initial excitement of becoming a published author and then the inevitable "now get to work" I haven't had much motivation to update my blog.
Editing: A process I thought would be much, much harder than it was for me. My stomach ached at the idea of the dreaded "Editorial Letter", but thanks to Emily Settle, I had no reason to dread anything. The 8 pages of notes she sent me was humbling, but it was also constructive and inspiring. The hardest part was sorting through what big things I needed to tackle first. Once I'd figured that out the rest just fell into place, thankfully.

Playing The Waiting Game: I completed my first round edit on February 13th and have been patiently waiting for my next editorial letter. During this down time I have gotten a few different things done, including coming up with a great new idea for a book with my sister, finished a WIP that I've been chipping away at for months, and finally got myself on Good Reads.
